I listened to Sarah Palin after she lost the election this week. Her rhetoric reminded me of when she was governor, blaming everyone but herself for her problems. She said ranked choice voting was to blame; otherwise, how could she have lost?
Well, she lost because lots of people who voted for Nick Begich thing Mary Peltola over Palin for their second choice. This should tell you a lot; clearly, it is showing that the voters are done with her. They know she would just showboat, with a lot of cute quips that would get her in front of the camera, rather than buckle down and work for Alaska.
Palins argument that Nick Begich should quit the regular election is laughable. Once again, the voters have spoken. More voters would rather vote for Mary Peltola than Palin. Ranked choice voting showed that it worked. Palin lost. She should woman up and accept responsibility for her loss.
