Five months after his sentencing, Counting On alum Josh Duggar files a new appeal in his child pornography case, blaming his co-worker for his crimes.
Convicted Counting On alum Josh Duggar pointed fingers at his co-worker for his crimes in a new appeal he filed in his child pornography case. In April 2021, federal agents raided Josh’s car dealership and arrested him. In December 2021, a jury found the reality television star guilty of one count each of receiving and possessing child pornography. In May 2022, Josh was sentenced to 151 months in prison. Several of Josh’s siblings did not sympathize with him after his sentencing.

It’s been five months since Josh was sentenced, but he has filed a new appeal in his child pornography case. On October 3, the disgraced 19 Kids and Counting alum filed an appeal in an Arkansas court. In the filing, he blamed his co-worker Caleb Williams for his crimes. Josh claimed government agents did not interview or investigate Caleb, who “regularly used the only [computer] that had child pornography in it.” In the documents, which Page Six obtained, Josh also claimed Caleb was tech-savvy and alleged that he sent him a text offering to “watch the lot.”

Court Prevents Josh Duggar From Calling Caleb To Stand
According to the documents, Caleb, who worked with Josh at his car dealership, is a convicted sex offender. The former Counting On star claimed he and his team wanted to call Caleb to the stand. However, the federal court did not allow them to do so. The document claimed the government responded by saying the only obvious reason the defense wanted to call Caleb was because he was a sex offender. There is no additional information on what Josh hopes to achieve with his filing and when the court will deliberate on it.
Josh Duggar Doesn’t Seem Remorseful
After Josh’s conviction and sentencing, many people, including his sister Jill Duggar, hoped that his time in prison would give him the potential for rehabilitation. Additionally, many people were disgusted by Josh’s actions and felt he deserved his jail time. However, five months after his sentencing, he doesn’t seem like Josh feels remorseful about his actions. Instead, the convicted television personality is blaming his co-worker in his new filing, which will disappoint many more people.
Josh has had very few supporters since his legal troubles began. However, his wife, Anna Duggar, has steadily supported him and remains committed to their marriage. Anna, who shares seven children with Josh, hopes that the following months and years pass quickly so she can reunite with her husband. Thus, it is unlikely she will enjoy seeing her husband’s name in the news again following his appeal. The former Counting On star should focus on becoming a better man rather than looking for who to blame for his actions.
