Jill Zollinger has claimed unauthorized that the County Executive has made expenditures without any details. I find this hard to believe. Further, for years the county executives were water boys/girls for the council. Easy to shift the responsibility to them without accountability.
Im weary of this political wrangling, but more weary of the blame game. Its bad enough at the federal level. Do power plays have to reach here, too?
There are only two counties in Utah that have our current form of check and balance government. Separation of power is always accompanied with differences. And as far as I can tell, the differences should be public. But with facts instead of innuendo offering voters legitimate choices instead of more federal level dirty politics.
We balance I see more reason to vote for Zook. Id like the electorate to be more informed with facts regarding allegations. I, for one, am thrilled that the shrill voices of two council members will be gone at the first of the year. Then lets see how differences are worked out between Zook and the council.
Balance of power is good for voters. An overbearing council with a weak Executive is not whats the voters thing when we adopted this form of government.
