Liverpool star singled out for criticism during Nottingham Forest 101 Great Goals

[ad_1]

Liverpool headed into the game having won their last two league matches 1-0.

As for Nottingham Forest, they were sitting dead bottom of the division with just one win from 11.

So, a win for Jurgen Klopp and co. did seem very likely.

At the time of writing, it remains 0-0, but both teams have had chances.

Liverpool enjoyed success down the flanks, with Elliott and Carvalho especially dangerous for the Reds.

However, Liverpool also gifted Nottingham Forest several chances to counter due to their poor build-up.

The two main culprits were Virgil van Dijk and Joe Gomez, with the latter giving the ball away at least four times in the first 30 minutes.

This prompted a lot of criticism of the centre-back in the first half, with just some of the reaction shown below:

Joe Gomez has given the ball away at least 3 times already today. Forest should have done more to capitalize.

Joe Gomez needs to sort his passing out here. Shocking. Just giving the ball straight back to Forest.
