As much as the Cardano community was excited, the Monero team took to Twitter to point out “flaws” in the system, one of which involved a “backdoor”.

A CoinDesk report quoted the founder of Cardano saying, “The system will distinguish between preserving privacy and allowing regulators and auditors to access the system once permission is granted.”

In response to a user and Monero claims, Hoskinson replied, “Backdoor? We don’t have a backdoor.”

He further added that the word “backdoor” was a misquote.
