Controversial streamer iShowSpeed is once again under fire after an actual trip to the zoo showed instances of abuse to several animals.
At 17, YouTube sensation iShowSpeed is one of the fastest growing streamers in the world, but sadly, a long list of controversies comes with this title. Amid iShowSpeed’s apology for its role in a cryptocurrency scam, it now finds itself in hot water after videos emerged showing the hostile and animal-abusive streamer on a trip to the zoo.
During his December 16 live stream in which iShowSpeed visited a zoo, several instances show the young star screaming in the faces of animals behind cages, and even upsetting them after infuriating them with his actions. The stream took place on YouTube, where iShowSpeed amassed 14.5 million subscribers thanks in large part to his larger-than-life personality and over-the-top antics.

Several videos have spread on Twitter showing disturbing behavior by the 17-year-old streamer towards several animals, including two examples towards monkeys. In one video, he starts screaming in the face of a monkey behind a cage, and when the animal becomes enraged and starts rushing towards the cage, iShowSpeed becomes more aggressive and loud towards the animal. Another video shows iShowSpeed holding hands with an orangutan, and although harmless at first, the orangutan shows obvious disinterest in the young man, causing him to start taunting the monkey. . Despite this latest controversy, its subscriber count continues to grow as iShowSpeed hit 10 million subscribers in July 2022 and is currently closing in on 15 million by the end of the year.
It hasn’t been an easy ride for iShowSpeed in 2022 as controversies continue to pile up ahead of its 18th birthday. Earlier this year, iShowSpeed was banned from Valorant after a video surfaced of him yelling sexist comments at a streamer after she spoke up and offered him a rebuttal during a match. The comments sparked outrage from the Valorant community, forcing developer Riot Games Inc. to act quickly and remove it from their game. Later that year, iShowSpeed was caught up in a crash incident, leaving him handcuffed before being bailed out by fellow streamer Adin Ross.
Although he issued a public apology for his past assaults, iShowSpeed has yet to comment on his latest assault. It’s not yet clear what his punishment, if any, might be, but another ban from a streaming platform could leave him without a home to reach an audience. In 2021, iShowSpeed was banned from Twitch following another incident where he launched a verbal sexist comment attack on model Ash Kash while streaming with Adin Ross. Following his comments towards Kash, he was removed from the Twitch platform indefinitely, specifically for a moment when he notably asked Kash what she could do if they “we are the last two people on Earth, and we had to reproduce to make the world”. Carry on.”
