BLAME! and Kaina of the Great Snow Sea Anime Team Up for Japanese Screening Event

To celebrate the upcoming TV broadcast of Kaina of the Great Snow Sea, a special theatrical screening/staff talk event will be held in Kanagawa Prefecture in December, featuring special guests as well as screenings of Kaina of the Great Snow Sea and BLAME!, a 2017 theatrical anime film also based on a manga created by author Tsutomu Nihei.

The event begins at 1:00 p.m. JST at the Kawasaki Cinecitta Theater in Kawasaki, Kanagawa Prefecture, Japan. Guests include Hiroaki Ando (director of BLAME! and Kaina of the Great Snow Sea) and Tadahiro “Tady” Yoshihira (assistant director of BLAME!). Advance tickets for the event will go on sale online starting November 30, while general admission tickets will be available at the box office starting December 9.

The BLAME 2017! The theatrical film is currently streaming on Netflix, while Kaina of the Great Snow Sea will stream on Crunchyroll starting in January 2023 as part of the winter 2023 anime simulcast lineup.
