Man caught harassing and making racist remarks towards two customers at San Ramon restaurant

Two patrons of an In-N-Out in San Ramon were the targets of racist and homophobic speech, according to video of the incident posted on social media.

SAN RAMON, Calif. — Two patrons of an In-N-Out in San Ramon were the targets of a racist and homophobic rant, video of the incident being posted on social media.

Two friends were recording themselves on TikTok trying different foods at the popular fast food joint when a man walks up to them and is heard asking “Are you filming yourself eating? You’re queer gay people. “

The man who is not seen in the video, but can be heard clearly, continued to harass the two as they attempted to eat dinner.

“Are you Japanese or Korean,” the man said. “Are you Japanese or Korean? Are you Kim Jong Un’s boyfriend? Are you having gay sex with him?”

One of the friends told KTVU that she was in disbelief at what she had been through.

“Honestly, if I hadn’t recorded it, I wouldn’t have believed it had happened because, even some of the words he said, in the heat of the moment, I hadn’t realized that he was called a slave master. I completely masked, he threatened to spit on us too,” said Arine Kim.

The video caught the attention of San Ramon Police Chief Denton Carlson, who took to Twitter to try to identify the perpetrator.

Carlson tweeted a photo of someone believed to have started the hateful rant. Carlson said the man was in a Silver Mustang with a Flordia license plate and allegedly exhibited similar behavior in another incident.
