AEW President Tony Khan is open to criticism to improve his product, but he disagrees with some fans’ belief that there is little to no storytelling is not part of it. .

Khan has been criticized by fans who believe the company is forgetting about vital storytelling in favor of having great matches.

While speaking in a new interview with Grapsody for Fightful, Khan opened up about the fake reviews he received from fans.

Wrestling fans are amazing people, but, I think in a way, some wrestling fans are like Why is this match happening? They shouldn’t play this game. There is no building. Maybe this is the start of something. How do you know?

Khan mentioned that fans were criticizing him recently for booking Jon Moxley against Daniel Garcia before the Battle Royal on Rampage.

Well, first of all, both are going to be in this game. Maybe there will be something there on Friday, so we already told you there was something else. I saw someone say that this match was not necessary. What does it mean? You say it’s not a way for people to watch TV anymore because every game has to have some kind of story to get into it. Well, what about the story that everyone wants to be the best? That’s how most sports are, and there are intrigues in games and matches.

The worst review, the most fake review, there was this review People were wondering if there were any storylines in the show. are you fucking me There are so many in every show! Over five or six games of a show, most of them will have these hooks. I have to say, on next week’s show, watching it, every game will have a Dynamite story.

Khan also discussed AEW comparisons to WCW, status of Miro, Paige VanZant, ROH, and more. You can watch the full interview by clicking on the player below:
