Tony Khan responds to ‘fake’ reviews that AEW lacks storytelling

[ad_1]

AEW President Tony Khan is willing to admit there’s room for improvement in his business, but the claim that there’s little to no storytelling isn’t one of them.

AEW has often been criticized by fans who have suggested the company is forgetting about vital storytelling in favor of flashy spots and moves.

On the Fightfuls Grapsody podcast, Khan opened up about wrestling fans and the “fake” reviews he received.

“Wrestling fans are amazing, amazing, amazing people. But, I think in some ways some wrestling fans are like why is this match happening? They shouldn’t play this game. There is no building. Maybe this is the start of something. How do you know?

“The worst review, the most false review, there was this review. People are wondering if there were any storylines in the show. are you fucking me There are so many in every show! Over five or six games of a show, most of them will have these hooks.

“I have to say that on next week’s show, every game will have a Dynamite story.”

It’s been reported that AEW will be undergoing some sort of production overhaul starting with the first Dynamite of 2023.
