Gervonta Davis denies domestic violence allegations in explosive statement after arrest as he insists ‘I’m not a freak’

Gervonta Davis has hit back with a public statement on social media after she was arrested and jailed earlier this week on charges of an alleged incident of domestic violence.

Broward County, Florida inmate records show that on Tuesday night Parkland police arrested the 28-year-old boxing star and charged him with assault and battery causing bodily harm.

The police report alleged that Tank struck a woman in the head with a ‘closed hand type slap’, causing her to suffer ‘a small abrasion on the inside of her upper lip’.

On Wednesday, he was released on $1,000 bail.

Within hours, Gervonta took to social media to tell his side of the story.

“Don’t let these people mislead you about these *** bulls,” he said in a lengthy statement, attaching a photo of his daughter watching Frozen.

“It was just yesterday moments before my little mum and I had an argument!

“While watching Frozen with my eldest daughter, I never got my hands on my kid’s mom or my fucking daughter, are you crazy!!?

“I am not a monster.

“I’ve been silent for too long. I don’t have a media team, a PR team, a good lawyer. Spokesman nothing about it.

“That’s the only reason I’m doing this now!” Just to clear my name!

“These people have been releasing so much stuff, spreading it all over the place and having a fucking helicopter flying over my house now that I’m writing this because they consider this shit to be money for them and trying to get as much money as possible.

“They rushed to the mother of my child to offer her 50,000 just to put pressure.

“Like they did with my first child mother so bad they couldn’t have her so they got a lady they calmed down she was in the mess also a lady known to suit people for money reasons. They got it!

“You don’t care if it’s right or wrong. He did it or not. You just want to spread it because it’s good for all businesses!”

Gervonta is scheduled to face Hector Luis Garcia in less than two weeks on January 7 and has agreed to next fight Ryan Garcia in April, with both of those fights now under threat due to the situation.

It’s unclear if they’ll go ahead, as when a fan asked Gervonta if the Hector fight was still on, he tweeted in response, “I don’t even want to fight anymore.”
