Former MP and leader of Telugu Desam Party (TDP), Bandaru Satyanarayana Murthy has refuted claims by leaders of YSR Congress Party (YSRCP), who are pointing an accusing finger at former Chief Minister N. Chandrabababu Naidu for the death of several TDP supporters in Kandukur in the Nelloré district.
Addressing a press conference here on Saturday, Mr Satyanarayana said that shortly after the tragic incident, Mr Naidu visited the hospital, met family members, provided financial assistance to bereaved families and had also promised them support. He said that the TDP has always lent a hand to the family of TDP supporters and members, whenever such a situation arises.
Mr. Satyanarayana Murthy alleged that when Mr. Jagan Mohan Reddy was in opposition, around 10 YSRCP supporters died and many were injured during a public meeting. But he had failed to help them. The TDP leader alleged that the chief minister did not even attend Vivekananda Reddy’s funeral. The TDP leader said Mr Jagans public meeting in Narsipatnam was useless as he did not address issues relating to Anakapalli district.
