ISLAMABAD (Web Desk) – Pakistan on Wednesday dismissed as “baseless and frivolous” accusations made by Indian External Affairs Minister S. Jaishankar, saying his latest tirade reflected growing frustration over the inability to India to slander and isolate Pakistan.

Responding to media questions regarding a series of recent statements made by the Indian minister targeting Pakistan, the Foreign Ministry spokesman said over the past few years India had engaged in a malicious campaign to deceive the international community through a fictionalized narrative of victimization and vile anti-Pakistani propaganda.

“This practice must stop. India’s persistent anti-Pakistani rant could not hide its brazen involvement in fomenting terrorism on Pakistani soil; nor can it conceal the reality of state-sponsored terrorism in legally Indian-occupied Jammu and Kashmir (IIOJK). The spokesperson said that instead of pointing fingers at others, India itself should end its involvement in terrorism, subversion and espionage against Pakistan.

Just a few weeks ago, a dossier was released containing compelling evidence that supported India’s involvement in the 2021 terrorist attack in a peaceful area of ​​Lahore. From the deaths of more than 40 Pakistani nationals on Indian soil in the Samjhota Express tragedy in 2007 to the arrest of Kulbhushan Jadhav, serving commander of the Indian Navy, from Pakistan in 2016, evidence of the involvement terrorism and sabotage were irrefutable and spanned decades and geographies, the spokesperson added.
