Someone sent Kayvon Thibodeaux Jeff Saturday’s Twitter account.
The Giants rookie rusher found himself in the middle of a bit of controversy following the Giants’ Sunday win over the Colts.
After firing (and injuring) Colts quarterback Nick Foles, Thibodeaux took his celebration to the grass, making snow angels just yards from where Foles was writhing in pain with a rib injury.
Colts interim head coach Jeff Saturday aired his criticism of Thibodeaux, and on Wednesday Thibodeaux responded in kind:
“I do not know who [Jeff Saturday] is. Anyone who comments on that, unless I know who they are, it doesn’t really affect me.”

“I just don’t know who he (Jeff Saturday) is,” Thibodeaux said Thursday. “No, I just don’t know who commented, unless I know who they are, it doesn’t really affect me. That’s all.”

Thibodeaux simply says his lack of a relationship with Saturday means Saturday’s opinion means less. Pretty hot stuff from a rookie.
He continued to defend his celebration, which some saw as callous and disrespectful as Foles lay on the grass, while also discrediting the media view:
“Who I just want to understand who is the guardian of when to do something?” said Thibodeaux. “So once we figure out who the keeper is, we can write the rules, and then we can set the narratives and things like that. But until you actually get into the sport and do it, and you being at that time, you can’t create a narrative about it.”
Thibodeaux reiterated that he was unaware that Foles was injured, according to reports, and that his teammates agreed with his celebration. The Giants had plenty to be happy about, though: Big Blue and Thibodeaux clinched their playoff ticket for the first time since the 2016 season.
Here’s hoping Thibodeaux avoids more controversy (and boats) between here and wildcard weekend.
