The Eagles were dismal on offense against the Saints last Sunday and offensive coordinator Shane Steichen takes responsibility for that.

In a media encounter on Thursday, one of the NFL’s top head coaching candidates of 2023 fell to the sword, absorbing all the blame for Philadelphia going into a 20-10 loss with four straight games and three withdrawals.

Philadelphia was held to 61 total yards, two first downs (0 in the first 29 minutes), 1-5 on 3rd down and 9 rushing yards in a miserable first half performance as the team didn’t failed to wrap up the No. 1 seed in the NFC.

The Eagles had 0 rushing yards in the first quarter Sunday, two passing yards and three total offensive plays while falling behind.

Philadelphia had 11 total yards and straight three-and-outs at one point with 8:30 remaining in the first half of that loss as well.

Jalen Hurts is expected to return for the season finale, but it will be up to Steichen to put the Eagles offense in the best position to succeed.
