There are some things you can justify as being the reason St. John’s lost to Providence today. One could be that “The Dunk” is an impressive home-court advantage. Another could simply be that Providence is a more talented team. Another could be that The Red Storm shot 12-20 (60%) from the line. Or finally that they had real bad luck when O’Mar Stanley shot the net and took a basket in the last minutes.
While all of these reasons are justified, I won’t hear anything else except that St. John’s lost today because of head coach Mike Anderson’s wardrobe. Look at this adjustment
Come on man too. Choose one or the other. The dress style quarter zip looks great on its own. Like a single blazer does. Putting the two together is a bad look and probably distracted his team. While nearly the entire country has ditched suits and ties, which was long overdue, there are still a slew of guys who wear blazers, including Nate Oats who looks super fresh every night on the pitch. Guy is a stallion. Look at him.

Style of all time. All the time.
So I’m not against a blazer. They have a nice look. I’m not against jerseys either Rick Majerus was the jersey goatee and wore the same during the 98 title match. The man was a legend.

So blazers and sweaters can work. But Mike Anderson looks FOOLISH when he wore both a sweater and a blazer. And until he fixes that, his team might as well get excited for the NIT.
Plus gyms get hot – is this guy crazy wearing diapers in gyms with 15,000 people while he’s going to be running up and down the sidelines sweating and screaming? Get as comfortable as you can man, what you doin’?
Final note: Anderson must have read my mind as I started writing this blog late in the game, as he made the switch in the last few minutes. Too little too late bro..
Fashionisto Rico, released.
PS- Shoutout Ed Cooley all he does is prove people wrong. Winner. To hell with the enemies.
