Dokpesi, who scored 71 points last year, was delayed by immigration on Sunday after traveling from Frankfurt on a Lufthansa airline flight to the UK.
The leader of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) was on a trip to London following the invitation of Atiku Abubakar, the party’s presidential candidate, by the British government to share his views on issues surrounding the presidential election of the coming months in the country.
According to the management of AIT, the Dokpesi media establishment, he was released after a few hours and his passport was stamped and he was allowed by British immigration officials to enter the country.
Dokpesi is the Deputy Director General (Technical and Systems) of the PDP’s Presidential Campaign Council.
