LEGENDARY opera singer Placido Domingo is facing new historic sexual harassment charges three years after the first charges derailed his career.
An anonymous singer from the TV show La Sextas La Salvados has claimed Domingo, 80, asked to touch her inappropriately at a theater in Spain in the early 2000s.
Domingo, a third of The Three Tenors troupe alongside Luciano Pavarotti who popularized opera singing in the 90s, has so far denied the allegations and no criminal charges have ever been brought.
The whistleblower, who chose to conceal her identity for fear of reprisals, recounted how superstar opera singer, born Jos Plcido Domingo Embil, asked to touch her after a rehearsal in front of other artists and members of the team.
The first time I felt any discomfort was while we were rehearsing.

He [Plcido] said to me in front of everyone, “Listen, can I put my hand in one of your pretty pockets?
I was wearing pants with an embroidered back pocket,” she said.
I had a stomach ache because I was thinking, what can I say to [Domingo] to continue normally?
If I say no, there will be consequences and if I say yes, I don’t even want to think about it.
She didn’t report against Domingo because she thought he was untouchable and she didn’t want to offend him.
How do you say it? He is Plcido Domingo, and you are nobody. He’s untouchable, he shouldn’t, but he is.
These situations are well known around the world, she explained.
One of the first pieces of advice given to women is not to get into an elevator alone with the plus-size singer, she added.
During the live, the tenor even took advantage of the darkness between one act and the other on stage to kiss her on the mouth.
A kiss I didn’t see coming, I couldn’t dodge it and I didn’t want to receive it either.
The program claimed to have corroborated the accusation with a witness with whom it spoke about it at the time.
The singing stars’ careers all but came to a halt in 2019 following allegations of sexual misconduct towards women.

That grew to more than three dozen female performers and backstage personnel who were mentioned in a report released by the American Guild of Music artists.
Most of the victims preferred to remain anonymous but accused Domingo of unwanted touching and attempts to kiss them on the lips.
Soprano Angela Turner Wilson said Domingo walked into her dressing room before a performance and touched her breasts, leaving her stunned and humiliated.
No charges were ever brought against the singer, but he apologized for making his female colleagues uncomfortable and denied any aggressive behavior.
The allegations cost Domingo dearly as he resigned as director of the Los Angeles Opera Company.
US theaters pulled all of its scheduled dates, along with appearances worldwide.
But in an interview with El Mundo in January 2022, Domingo denied harassing anyone and said he felt he had been condemned by the court of public opinion because he had not not expressed.
