At Georgia’s national title parade last weekend, quarterback Stetson Bennett made it clear he wasn’t interested in questions from a reporter.

A woman from WSB-TV attempted to interview the senior quarterback, but Bennett avoided questioning. He was criticized on social media for his behavior, including by a radio host.

“Stetson Bennett needed someone to tell him to hang up his fucking phone during a parade and show some kindness and appreciation to the fans who were sitting in that stadium,” the radio host said. “You want to crush the media that you think is mean to you, make it a press conference.”

Well, Bennett fired back on social media tonight.

“mobile…?? phone…?? I’m afraid I’m too old to understand the latest technology,” he joked at first.

Bennett then explained the situation:

A phone was mine. A phone was connected to Bluetooth. Mine had the playlists. The other had the aux. I appreciate your concern for my image/intentions/loyalties/obligations (as well as your willingness to contact me to confirm them), you obviously thought quite deeply about some motives I might have had. To help fill in some holes, can I give you the “inside” scoop?

…So, to end nicely and neatly: I was controlling auxiliaries and playing so sed bangers and Chris and I could have some fun on our last drive to Sanford. That’s pretty much the main thing.

What do you think of his explanation?
