Djokovic refers to Eurosport criticism of toilet breaks as unwarranted ‘lynching’ according to Roddick

Andy Roddick isn’t a fan of how Djokovic referred to the media when he slammed Eurosport for their handling of his toilet break saga.

Roddick is now part of the tennis media working primarily for Tennis Channell and he wasn’t a fan of how Djokovic called Eurosport’s coverage of his Australian Open bathroom break saga ” lynching”. Roddick made the comments on his Twitter profile as he so often does, first praising Djokovic for how he handled the annoying fan:

“Novak handled it as well as he could have. He was clear on the explanation of this problem and calm when he asked how the referee was going to help find a solution.”

He then compared it to the words he chose for Eurosport calling them very very bad:

“And in addition to handling the above situation on video, his choice of lynching words when referring to someone who writes a bad article about peeing, was really, really bad.”

After a fan replied to Roddick, he explained:

“Comparing criticism for a pee break to a public death without a trial is melodramatic every time you live. I understand that it’s easier to label something as awake than to discuss the substance. Simply, criticizing for a jingle is not comparable to a public lynching.”
