ABC launches ‘ridiculous’ alcohol allegations at Amy Robach amid exit negotiations

ABC is throwing everything it has, including a few bottles of booze, at Amy Robach during their contentious mediation talks this week.

When networks try to get someone out after a scandal without paying them a huge exit offer, they often try to make it seem like the ousted staffer wasn’t really an employee in the first place.

And it looks like ABC is really scratching the barrel of the distillery to find dirt on Robach, who is said to be heading for the door after his affair with co-anchor TJ Holmes is uncovered.

“Everything they bring up is so minor related to Amy,” a source told us of the talks.

TMZ reported that one of the issues raised during the discussions is that Robach had alcohol in his dressing room, which violates ABC policy.

But an insider tells Page Six they were sealed, and Robach didn’t even bring them to the office. “That’s how ridiculous it got. In the media, they send you bottles [as gifts] and the bottles in his room were sealed,” a source told Page Six.

“They use any excuse,” the source adds. “Other people in the office also have alcohol, it’s everywhere and it’s not open.”

The site said ABC accused Robach of coming to work drunk one morning after the college football national championship game, but the source told the outlet the allegation was “nonsense.” The source said Robach was just tired.

Sources told Page Six that both Robach and Holmes are expected to be out when the talks end.

They are currently working on an exit deal and discussing contract payments.

A source told Page Six that unless ABC reaches a satisfactory severance deal with Amy and TJ, they would both consider taking legal action against the network.

The couple, who have worked together on GMA3 since 2020, were taken off the air in December after their affair made headlines in November 2022.

The ongoing media circus around the case has led to finger pointing behind the scenes, we reported earlier this week.

In addition to an investigation into the couple, multiple sources tell us that ABC was so concerned about the potential leaks that they launched an internal investigation to find out who might be talking about the couple.

Since news of the romance broke, Holmes has also been accused of multiple affairs with young female employees.

Meanwhile, Holmes filed for divorce from his wife Marilee Fiebig, 45, on December 28 after nearly 13 years of marriage. They share Sabine, his 9-year-old daughter.

Robach is married to Melrose Place alum Andrew Shue, but we announced in December that they were close to finalizing their divorce.

She was previously married to former MLB player Tim McIntosh from 1996 to 2008. They share two daughters: Ava, born in 2002, and Analise, born in 2006.
