In another shocking end to the season, the Dallas Cowboys lost to the San Francisco 49ers. After completely obliterating Tom Brady in the previous round, Cowboy fans had hope. However, their wait continues. Even before the game started, there was a little surprise among the fans. Notably, after missing 4 PATs in the last game, Brett Maher was back on the field as a kicker. During a recent episode of The Big Podcast, Spice Adams felt that Dallas should have fired him. However, Shaquille ONeal believes the focus should be on the main job rather than Mahers’ previous mistakes.
Shaq himself is a longtime Cowboys fan. Likewise, he too had to watch his time sink in the NFL Divisional Round. The game overall was low scoring. The 49ers won 19-12 in a contest that had drama until the end. After a heroic performance against Tampa, Dak Prescott had a tough night. Notably, the QB threw for just 206 yards and 1 TD in the loss. Moreover, his accuracy has fumbled since last time when he only completed 23 of his 37.

However, while his performance was arguably the key reason for the Cowboys loss, Nischelle Turner and Adams were both focused on getting Maher back on the pitch. That’s when the Big Diesel stepped in and corrected the duo. Notably, he feels that his past failures shouldn’t matter in the face of Prescott’s shortcomings.

Shaquille O’Neal wants the blame where it should be
Turner picked up the subject of the Cowboys and opened with shock. After watching Mahers’ nightmarish play, she couldn’t believe Jerry Jones hadn’t fired his kicker. Spice Adams shared a similar opinion. Surprisingly, Shaq went against both of them calling them hypocrites. His view saw them hold Dak Prescott accountable for failing to deliver. And he used an interesting ideology to prove his point. Notably, Shaq was put in the same spot when he missed free throws and was blamed for the losses.

On a recent episode of The Big Podcast, Shaquille O’Neal said, Woah, Woah, Woah you little hypocrites. Now, you see, I would never allow that. That’s my point. You’re gonna say something about me for missing nine free throws and the five wide-opening shots you missed when I had four guys on me and fired him.

Shaq went on to say he had the majority of the blame for his bad free throw shot. Even though his teammates missed wide-opening shots, the Big Diesel being the main guy was blamed. Likewise, he wants the co-hosts to hold Prescott for the same blame. The QB is considered the most important man on the field. According to the Hall of Famer, if he can’t do his only job, then what Maher did or didn’t do shouldn’t matter.
