Julia Fox responds to online criticism over mascara comment

Julia Fox has expressed regret after an online backlash to a comment she dropped on a video from TikTok users, which concerned a sexual assault.

Earlier this week in a user video, Fox said I don’t know why but I don’t feel bad for you lol.

It is relevant to mention that the user wrote a text, which said, I gave this girl mascara once and it must have been so good that she decided that she and her friend should try it without my consent.

After Fox’s comment, she was criticized online for her insensitivity.

Following the online backlash, Fox finally addressed the issue in a since-expired TikTok story, where she clarified that she was unaware that the user had mentioned the word mascara as a code for sexual assault.

The ex-flame of Kanye Wests said: “So I commented on a video because I thought this guy was talking about having his mascara stolen by a girl and then the girl loaned it to her friend. reading it, it seemed so dramatic in this video, and I was like, ‘Damn, don’t catch a case, it’s just mascara.’ But it wasn’t actually just mascara.

The Uncut Gems star remarked, Anyway, I already apologized to this person, but I just want to apologize to everyone who fell victim to you-know-what.

I am really sorry. I’m really showing my age right now, she added.
