Fox News guest blames single black mothers for Tire Nichols murder

TUCKER CARLSON (HOST): They really want to enrage people, clearly.

JASON WHITLOCK (GUEST): They don’t want us to focus on reality. Hey, if they want us to dedicate an hour of coverage to this and weekend coverage to this and they want to take us to a good place, I’d look at the racial element of that. Because there is a racial element. And it’s a story of young black men and their inability to treat themselves humanely.

Everyone involved in this case, at street level, was between the ages of 24 and 32. Everybody was a group of young blacks, five against one. It sounded like gang violence to me. It sounded like what young black men do when supervised by a single black woman, and that’s what they did at the Memphis Police Department.

They elected – or put a black woman in charge of the police, and we get the same kind of chaos, disunity and violence that we see in many of these cities run by single mothers.

If we want to discuss family breakdown that leads to a lack of respect for authority, that leads to you resisting the police and running away from the police and not complying with the police, because you are resisting authority at all times, because there was no male authority in your house, let’s discuss it.

But that’s not where they want to take us. They want us to say, “You know what? It’s Tucker Carlson’s fault. It’s random white — it’s Donald Trump’s fault.” It’s not. It’s the breakup of the family and the buying up of all that leftist stuff that has nothing to do with promoting the family.
