King Charles is expected to react to Prince Harry’s allegations in a rare BBC interview ahead of his coronation in May.
According to The Mirror, in the ‘historic’ interview, the monarch will share her side of the story for the first time since the release of Harry’s book ‘Spare’.
In their Netflix documentary, Harry and Meghan revealed that the Palace follows a ‘never complain, never explain’ policy when dealing with the media.
But the UK newspaper’s latest report said palace advisers were debating whether the king would use an interview to clarify the events mentioned in Harry’s book.
The report says Charles could clarify the Megxit incident, in which Harry and Meghan stepped down as senior royals if the palace agrees to the interview.
Citing an unnamed source, the report said: “Plans are already underway for coronation coverage at the BBC, including the profile of the monarch. It is not the right thing to avoid topics in interviews. , so that makes it tricky.”
The source said: “Even a small comment about Harry and Meghan would make world news. It could also provoke a response from Harry, which would be unpredictable, like so many others. It’s all very delicate.”
