Etche LGA, Rivers State – Governor Nyesom Wike has accused Iyorchia Ayu of ordering lawyers handling some of the parties’ cases in Rivers State to withdraw their legal representations.

Governor de Rivers called the purported directive anti-party, saying such acts would elicit a corresponding response from the party’s state branch, The Nation reported.

Wike said this at the premises of the public school, Okehi 1, the venue for the inauguration of the Rivers State PDP campaign in Etche Local Government Area on Monday, January 30.

Legit.ng collects that Rivers’ PDP has sued some political parties in the state for failing to follow Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC) regulations and laws while conducting their various primaries.

Wike said that instead of the national leadership of the PDP supporting the lawsuits, he asked the lawyers handling the various issues to withdraw the legal representations.
