The cast of The Real Housewives of New York City spin-off RHONY Legacy reportedly blamed each other for stalled contract talks that apparently put the show on hold. Lately, the RHONY Legacy series has been dominating headlines following reports that some cast members were in conflict over payouts and screen time. Some RHONY cast members wished they were paid a lot more than what they were being offered and had more guaranteed episodes per season. However, when a deal could not be reached, Bravo withdrew their offer, which suspended RHONY Legacy for the time being. Despite this information, executive producer Andy Cohen urged fans not to believe everything they read, although Luann de Lesseps recently confirmed the rumours.

VIDEO OF THE DAY

Less than a day after the rumors began and after Andy’s tweet, sources told Page Six that potential stars of the RHONY Legacy series disagree on accepting or rejecting Bravo’s deal. that would allow the show to air on television. Thus, those willing to sign the deal resented those expecting more money, which inadvertently caused RHONY Legacy to be suspended. As a result, various cast members would blame themselves for the failure of the deal.

Jill Zarin Reportedly Had a Tough Bargain in RHONY Contract Talks

According to Page Six sources, the decision to seek more money and screen time was not unanimous. Kelly Bensimon was reportedly ready to sign the deal, but Jill Zarin’s push for a big payday “was the straw that broke the camel’s back”. While Jill navigated a tough negotiation, Dorinda Medley was ready to accept the terms of the contract and get the cameras rolling. Meanwhile, Sonja Morgan barely paid attention to the whole affair. As for Luann, a Page Six source spotted her reading a story about stalled contract talks while at the Upper East Side’s Catch 65 cafe. According to the source, she seemed nervous reading the story.

Bravo had big plans for the Real Housewives series. After the tumultuous season 13 of RHONY, the network has planned two RHONY shows, one involving an entirely new cast and a second series featuring veteran cast members from previous seasons. These plans were meant to please RHONY fans so they can’t wait to see their favorite reality stars on TV once again go head-to-head. These latest reports regarding RHONY Legacy’s progress are a major disappointment, though hope remains that lingering issues will be resolved in time to allow the show to continue.

Based on the new revelations, RHONY fans probably aren’t the only ones unhappy with what’s happening to the RHONY Legacy series. The reality stars set to star in the spin-off are clearly unhappy that the actions of others have seemingly disrupted filming plans. That said, this is still just speculation as there has been no official statement from Bravo confirming whether or not RHONY Legacy will continue. Until such a statement arrives, fans won’t know for sure what’s going on and will be left in limbo. Hopefully, the issues surrounding The Real Housewives of New York City spin-off will be resolved, allowing for its continuation.
