Bulls’ DeMar DeRozan not afraid of criticism from Zach LaVine

[ad_1]

Chicago Bulls star DeMar DeRozan recently responded to Will Gottlieb’s criticism of his compatibility with fellow star Zach LaVine. DeRozan reportedly said that people tend to criticize adjustments consistently, regardless of players and/or team. Although Chicago’s 2022-23 season didn’t go as planned, DeRozan still seems to believe in his ability to play alongside LaVine.

Zach LaVine struggled against the Miami Heat in Chicago’s recent Play-In Tournament loss. He was ineffective on the field and finished with just 15 points. As a result, LaVine faced backlash on social media. In a sense, DeMar DeRozan may have also defended his Bulls teammate in his aforementioned hold.

DeRozan recently commented on the Bulls’ loss to the Heat.

It shouldn’t have ended like this, DeRozan said, according to The Athletic. We gave ourselves the opportunity to win the match. We were standing. We just can’t make the mistakes we did, especially in a game like this. Were sitting in our reality now with nothing to do.

LaVine also addressed the loss to the Bulls.

It hurts. I just didn’t shoot the ball well. Lots of good shots that come in normally. It sucks to know that we were so close. If I do a few, that might be the tipping point. So it hurts a lot, LaVine said, according to NBC Sports’ KC Johnson.

DeMar DeRozan, Zach LaVine and the Bulls will look to bounce back in the 2023-24 campaign from their forgettable 2022-23 season.
