Review Dr Rishikesh Kamble: Lecture at MSP on World Book Day

Chhatrapati Sambhajinagar: Ideologically and socially, politically, culturally, our state was known as advanced Maharashtra. The criticism was answered with civility. But now, if someone criticizes, that criticism is taken with a feeling of hostility, said lead writer and reviewer Dr Rishikesh Kamble.

He was speaking in a program organized on the occasion of World Book Day at the Nandapurkar Hall of the Marathwada Sahitya Parishad on behalf of Marathi Prakashak Parishad Pune. MSP President Kautikrao Thale Patil presided over the occasion.

Speaking further, Kamble said that in voicing my criticism of Marathi literature, I only came looking for the flaws and shortcomings of Marathi literature. When a critic pointed out the faults, the shortcomings of the literature, the writer reflected on this point. Acharya Atre’s opinion had a counter-intuitive attitude. But this counter-argument was made in a civilized way. Today the situation is reversed.

In such a situation, the writer must write without fear while preserving his permanent spirit, especially until 1985, there was no tendency to embezzle public property. Corruption has taken its toll lately. Rajan Gavas’ poem on the evolution of politics, social causes is a witty commentary on strange politics. He mentioned that Ravindra Shobhane’s Koli novel is like that. Parishad Chairman, Arvind Patkar, KS Atkare, Rangrao Patil, Anil Kulkarni, Sanjay Kakade and Vishnu Surase were present.
