All India Congress Committee Chairman Mr Mallikarjuna Kharge has questioned the silence of Prime Minister Narendra Modi and Union Home Minister Amit Shah on the alleged 40% commission demanded by BJP administration in Karnataka.

Speaking to reporters in Mangaluru on April 25 during his two-day tour of the Karnataka coast, Mr Kharge said the two would have bombarded social media with statements if such allegations were against opposition parties. Since the allegations are against their party, with complaints against the BJP government in Karnataka by many prominent figures, some of whom have even written to the President, the two have kept silent.

Quoting Mr. Modi Na khaoonga’s statement, khane bhi nahin doonga, Mr. Kharge questioned the Prime Minister’s support for alleged corrupt practices in Karnataka.

On the other hand, the common man is upset by the ever-increasing commodity prices due to which his life has become miserable since Mr. Modi took over the administration in 2014. The prices of all Commodities have increased dramatically while people’s income has increased. diminished, he said.

Due to these two major factors, the electorate of Karnataka decided to reject one of the two engines of the dual engine government, Mr. Kharge said while urging voters to carry the Congress to power by electing at least 150 of its legislators. If we don’t have solid numbers, the BJP would use money and muscle power, including law enforcement, to hijack our lawmakers and form its own government, the veteran politician said.

Why BJP Won’t Fill 2.6 Lakh Of Karnataka Gov’s Vacancies

Not to mention creating new jobs, the Karnataka government has failed to fill more than 2.6 lakh vacancies in various departments that could have provided jobs for the youths, he alleged. The BJP will not, because the jobs will not go to BJP supporters. Instead, the jobs will go to SC/STs and people from the backward classes, he said. The central government has also failed to address the problem of unemployment in which more than three million young people across India are out of work, he added.

Mr Modi berates Congress saying the party has done nothing for the past seven decades. I challenge him to showcase his achievements over the past nine years, Kharge said, adding that Congress is responsible for the current growth of the country.

Among the participants were former ministers B. Ramanath Rai and UT Khader.
