Students at an elite private school were sending each other racial slurs and bragging about disliking Jews in a series of private messages.

The shocking messages were posted in an online ‘Studies of Religion’ discussion group between pupils at King’s School in North Parramatta, Sydney’s west.

It’s the latest controversy to hit the school after principal Tony George wrote to parents about a recent incident where several Year 12 boys decapitated a goanna with a pitchfork while at camp. cadets.

The private school charges around $24,000 for kindergarten students and up to $40,000 for 12th graders.

The latest incident took place on WhatsApp in September last year and saw racial slurs and jokes about sex acts being exchanged between students.

One student wrote: ‘I’m cool with muzzlims (sic) and pretty much everyone as long as they aren’t J*wish (sic) or F*ench (sic).’

In another post, a photo of a dark-skinned student was shared with a comment about “buying it” “at a mosque.”

Other posts reportedly included themes of slavery, terrorism and a swastika.

Daily Mail Australia has contacted the school for comment.

A parent of a current pupil shared the focus group with The Daily Telegraph and criticized the school’s “minimal” response.

A King’s School spokesperson released a statement following the outrage.

“The school identified an issue with unacceptable online behavior last year,” he said.

“Children’s welfare is always at the heart of the school’s response to any problem.

“The matter has been investigated and resolved to the satisfaction of the families involved at the time.”

Daily Mail Australia has contacted King’s School for comment.

The incident comes after the principal, Mr George, brought up the murder of a goanna during a cadet camp.

“Not only are native animals protected by law, animal cruelty is a heinous and inhumane act in any form. The school immediately reported the goanna’s death to the police, who are continuing to investigate the incident,” he wrote.

Several students “decided it would be fun” to kill a goanna during a cadet camping trip at the end of March.

Mr George said it is important to allow children to take risks, although he acknowledged it could lead to a public frenzy.

“That doesn’t mean that these things aren’t bad, on the contrary, not only are they bad, but they can also be criminal,” he said.

“What I am saying is that the wrongful act does not warrant the pillory, shame and vilification of students and their schools.”
