A text message obtained by The New York Times shows Tucker Carlson describing a video showing a group of Trump guys beating up an Antifa child, and saying that’s not how white men fight.

The post, discovered on the eve of a jury trial for Dominion Voting Systems’ libel lawsuit against Fox News, reportedly led to the abrupt dismissal of Carlson who peddled racist rhetoric on his show Tucker Carlson Tonight for years.

The former host reportedly sent the message on January 7, 2021 to one of his producers after Trump supporters attacked the Capitol on January 6, 2021.

In the post, Carlson described how Trump supporters beat up a child Antifa. Carlson then expressed a desire to see the men kill the person he described as the Antifa child. Jumping a guy like that is obviously dishonorable, he wrote. That’s not how white men fight. Yet suddenly I found myself supporting the mob against the man, hoping they would hit him harder, kill him. I really wanted them to hurt the kid. I could taste it.

Then, somewhere deep in my brain, an alarm went off: This isn’t good for me, Carlson continued. I become something I don’t want to be. The Antifa creep is a human being. As much as I despise what he says and does, as much as I am sure I would personally hate him if I knew him, I should not rejoice in his suffering. I should be embarrassed by that. I should remember that somewhere, someone probably loves this kid and would be crushed if killed, Carlson continued, according to the report. If I don’t care about these things, if I reduce people to their politics, how am I any better than him? Tendency

The previously unreported text was part of redacted court documents. Fox’s board reportedly feared Carlsons’ text would become public if he testified on the stand and told Fox executives it was hiring a third-party law firm to review Carlsons’ conduct.

Carlson, long the networks’ main purveyor of white supremacist rhetoric and great replacement theory, was ousted from Fox last week.
