Taarak Mehta Ka Ooltah Chashmahs fans have woken up to the shocking news of a TV actress making sexual and mental harassment allegations against show producer Asit Kumarr Modi, COO Sohil Ramani and his assistant Jatin Bajaj. The actor alleged that Ramani and his assistant insulted her and asked her to leave the set on March 7. Later, the directors sent her a notice saying they were losing money because of her absence from the set. It was then that she decided to approach her lawyer, and sent them a legal notice.

The TV actor, while speaking to indianexpress.com, said she had evidence to back up her claims. She alleged that the show’s producer, in many respects, made sexually suggestive comments. She added that she had not spoken about it earlier because she feared the consequences. He complimented me in a sexual way, asked me to come to his room. I tried not to pay much attention to it and ignored his comments. I know he is very powerful but I am ready to fight now. I am already receiving calls to take over my file. My colleagues tell me to apologize, but I’m not going to stop now. I don’t want other women to go through this. It’s important to express yourself, the actor said.

According to her, the three men mentally harassed her many times over the years. However, as she is a breadwinner, the actor said he continues to work amid the negativity. She added, I had had enough and my husband was by my side, so I decided to talk about it. They treat everyone like their slaves and the world should know their true faces.

While Asit Kumarr Modis’ team said they would respond to the allegations legally, production manager Sohil Ramani refuted it and shared how they have evidence against the actor. He also alleged that she only spoke against them after they took action.

In an exclusive chat with indianexpress.com, Ramani shared, This is all done for cheap publicity. In case of harassment, she could have contacted the authorities sooner. Our production house also has a committee for all kinds of women’s issues, and she could have complained to them too. We will legally respond to all his allegations and are already working in this direction. It’s only a tactic to defame us, our show and our production house.
