Man Who Killed Jordan Neely Says He’s Not Racist, Was Planning Trip to Africa

Pennys’ attorney Thomas Kenniff added that passengers on the F train that day can back up his clients’ accounts because Neely would bother them by asking for water and food.

I can tell you that the threats, the threats, the terror that Jordan Neely introduced on that train has already been well documented, he said. I don’t think it’s even going to be controversial. There are many witnesses from all walks of life who have absolutely no reason to do anything other than tell what really happened. They are uniform in their recollection of events.

Daniel Penny has been charged with second-degree manslaughter and is out on $100,000 bail. According to Pennys’ attorney, Manhattan District Attorney Alvin Bragg has six months to prepare an indictment against Penny before a grand jury.

Jordan Neelys’ family have called for Penny to stand trial for murder, but his lawyers say he had no intention of killing the former Michael Jackson impersonator. He was trying, as he claimed, to protect himself and other commuters from possible danger.

Penny also had dark words for the Neelys family. According to Penny, he feels the pain of family over the loss of Jordan, but said he would not hesitate to protect himself and others again.

I am deeply saddened by the loss of life. It’s tragic what happened to him. Hopefully we can change the system that has failed us so hopelessly, he said. You know, I live a genuine and sincere life. And I would if there was a threat and a danger in the present.

Penny went on to say he was surprised at the backlash he was getting as he wasn’t logging on to the news or social media.

If you’re facing all these challenges, you need to stay calm, he said. What’s the point of worrying about something, worrying isn’t going to make your problems go away. I attribute this to my father and my grandfather. They are very very stoic.

He added: I’m nobody and I don’t have social media because I really don’t like attention and I just think there are better ways to spend your time. I don’t like the limelight.
