Another racist incident at a Copa Sudamericana game took place in Argentina on Tuesday night in the match between Colombians Independiente Santa F and local team Gimnasia la Plata.
Colombian striker Hugo Rodallega, who is black, said he was the victim of racial slurs from home fans.
We are not improving as humanity, it is a disaster all over the world. It’s very sad to come here and it happens, Rodallega told the official broadcaster after his team’s 1-0 loss. We did not lose the match because of these people, but this question of racism tires us.
