The Match Review Panel has delivered its verdict on the Betfred Super League Round 13 action.
It was a brilliant round of action headlined by a spirited affair between Leeds Rhinos and St Helens.
In the 76th minute of the match, a heap of mace was triggered by an error from Sam Walters with an altercation between James McDonnell and Jonny Lomax the epicenter.
McDonnell was sent off after the linesman said he saw a punch from McDonnell during the altercation.
He is the only player banned from the weekend’s action as he was hit with a two-match ban and a fine.
But he’s not the only player in hot water.
Warrington Wolves star Josh McGuire has been sent away for further investigation after being cited for unacceptable language.
McGuire was suspended for a whopping seven games after a pre-season red card against Leigh Leopards in which he was deemed to have used unacceptable language.
It is not known where this investigation will lead and how it will be conducted.
It is possible that he will be heard in court tomorrow night, as many cases are, especially when they are on appeal or considering long-term suspensions.
