Warangal: In a fiery retort, BRS incumbent Chairman and Minister KT Rama Rao lambasted the BJP and Congress for their scathing remarks regarding the 21-day celebrations commemorating the formation of Telangana.

He questioned the source of their unease as the BRS held these festivities, saying, “We have achieved so much for the advancement of Telangana under the visionary leadership of K Chandrashekhar Rao. We have every right to celebrate our accomplishments. Why does it sting you so deeply? He asked.

Speaking at a public rally at the City of O here on Saturday, following the groundbreaking ceremony for numerous development projects and the inauguration of other initiatives worth Rs 418 crore in Warangal East constituency alone, Rao pointed out that the Chief Minister has allocated substantial funds for the development of this constituency, represented by Nannapuneni Narender. Recalling the broken promises made by the BJP government to the Center at the former Warangal district, he wondered why they did not establish the promised bus factory in Kazipet or the Mulugu Tribal University. He also highlighted the unprecedented growth experienced by Warangal in the fields of IT and other sectors since the formation of the state.

During his visit to the Eastern Constituency, Rao inaugurated the new Warangal East MLA Camp Office and laid the foundation stone for the Integrated District Office Complex (IDOC) at Azam Jahi Mills Ground. Underlining its commitment to strengthening infrastructure, KTR also unveiled 16 state-of-the-art smart roads in Warangal, featuring state-of-the-art amenities such as contemporary street lighting, meticulously designed pathways and efficient drainage systems.

The minister also launched the groundbreaking ceremony for the construction of a state-of-the-art model bus station in Warangal along an inner ring road (IRR).

Paying tribute to Konda freedom fighter Laxman Bapuji, KTR unveiled its statue in Kothawada, signifying Bapuji’s enduring spirit and courage.
