Reality star Mark Wright has responded to claims he and wife Michelle Keegan don’t see each other often due to their busy work schedules

Mark Wright hit back at the backlash by saying he and Michelle Keegan rarely spend time together.

The reality star who married actress Michelle in 2015 recently traveled to Ibiza together to spend some quality time, but in recent weeks they have been plagued by claims that they really are together.

Mark has now claimed that their social media followers frequently overreact when the couple upload a photo together, despite being married for eight years.

But while their marriage is still happy, the couple often choose to keep it apart due to their schedule commitments.

Mark, 36, has now explained that he and Michelle just didn’t share with fans when they were together.

In a new interview, he said: ‘Do you know what every time there’s a picture of us together people will say ‘rare photo of Mark and Michelle’ or ‘Mark and Michelle reunite after split’ .

“We just don’t tell everyone when we’re spending quality time together.”

Speaking to the MailOnline, he added: “I could be home with Michelle for two weeks but no one will know because I’m not necessarily posting about it.

“We’ve been spending a lot of quality time together and we’ve had a lot of weekends, we’ve got things lined up.”

But even though they don’t share photos together, the couple often let fans know about their Essex mansion renovation, but he admits the reaction they get still shocks him.

Discussing whether they expected such a reaction, Mark previously told the Mirror: “Not as much reaction as we got.

“It was amazing, it’s fun, we don’t show everything but what we show, people seem to like it.”

Mark’s admission comes just weeks after reports claimed the couple were ‘divided’ as Michelle ‘craved’ to be closer to her family in Manchester.

Sources say her ongoing apparent struggle to adjust to the lifestyle change has caused a “rift” between her and Mark.

“Michelle loves her home and what they’ve built together, but there’s a big part of her that still yearns to be close to her friends and family, which naturally drives a wedge between her and Mark,” the insider told Closer Magazine.

“Essex has been her permanent base for over a decade now, but although she’s tried to settle there, she feels like a part of her is missing and part of her wishes are missing. that they can move north where she feels content and comfortable,” they added.
