A video of a racist man named Anjungi Lam harassing and racially assaulting two women on a train has gone viral on Twitter. The video was originally uploaded to TikTok by @diiamondheartt, stating the incident took place on Sunday, June 18 around 6:09 p.m.

The designer asked TikTok users to do their thing, implying that she wanted them to find the guy. @LuckyovLegends reposted the video on Twitter on June 23.

Popular video creator @TizzyEnt who shares news content to let people know saw the viral video and conducted his own research to identify the guy who stalked the two women. Tizzy, real name R. Michael McWhorter, shared information about the racist man in a video uploaded to Twitter on June 24.

The harasser was later identified as Anjungi Lam, a resident of Croydon, south London. He happened to have already committed another hate crime against a gay couple in 2017, for which he was jailed for two years. The racist man was slammed by netizens under @TizzyEnt’s tweet for being offensive to both women and also for physically assaulting one of them.

From what happened in the video, it was obvious that Anjungi Lam had engaged in a verbal fight with two women who were black and were sitting across from him on the train. Although he appears to be a person of color himself, the man called the two women “ugly” and hurled other racial slurs at them.

At the start of the video, one of the women was heard telling Anjungi that her boyfriend was white, to which the man responded by saying that her boyfriend was not white. He added that no white man would date her and that she was “too ugly”. Anjungi also addressed her friend and said she was too ugly too.

The man continued his offensive remarks and said he would not come near them and told the first woman that she had no hair on her head. He then got up from his seat, appearing to approach the women, so one of them handed him her umbrella and told Anjungi that she would hit him with it.

Between heated conversations, he sat next to the two women, and both parties followed the fracas. After a few minutes, Anjungi stood up and suddenly punched one of them before trying to quickly run away. However, other black men in the vehicle caught up to him and kicked him several times before pulling him off the train.

While everyone was disgusted by the man who harassed the two women and hit them, some pointed out that racial harassment was quite common in London. A few others asked what gave the man, who is himself a person of color, the audacity to be racist towards black women.

Some added that Anjungi Lam had to go back to prison because he had learned nothing from his previous hate crime. Many people cheered for the men who stood up for the two women and kicked the racist man off the train.

In November 2017, Anjungi Lam, 35, was caught on surveillance footage chasing another man and smashing a pint in his face before escaping. The 23-year-old victim suffered cuts to his lip, nose and neck, as well as a chipped tooth. The attack also caused damage to his cornea.

The flying glass shards also entered the eye of the victim’s boyfriend, who was 20 years old. According to reports, the incident took place in March 2017 and the couple did not know Anjungi before the attack. The two were at the Kentish Drovers pub in Peckham High Street, south London, deciding which drinks to order.

The Metropolitan Police investigated the matter and labeled it an unprovoked incident. The victims told police that Anjungi might have been instigated by homophobia when he saw them entering the pub holding hands.

Anjungi Lam was easily identified as he had already worked at the pub for three months but was sacked for being late. After being arrested for his attack on the gay couple, he admitted to intentionally causing serious bodily harm and was sent to prison for two years.
