April Korto Quioh, who held three different positions on Ballinger’s Netflix show Haters Back Off!, wrote a newsletter alleging racist behavior on Ballinger’s part, including the use of the N-word.

I remember hearing her once brag that a creator got canceled for saying the n-word (and if you think she went with N-word instead of hitting it so hard, then you don’t didn’t pay attention) and that she would never be stupid enough to get caught doing something like that,” she said.

Quioh also claimed that Ballinger called “POC background actors” “distracting,” and called for an Asian market to be turned into a bodega and for “Asian s**t” to be removed from the set.

Quioh alleged that Balinger “had a knack for making funny, biting comments about people around her, and since we all thank her for our work, we were compelled to keep going,” according to the newsletter, per BuzzFeed.

MORE ABOUT COLLEEN BALLINGER

“She had no problem commenting on my hair or clothes, or asking about my personal life.

“His lack of boundaries was remarkable.

Quioh also alleged that Ballinger would push his writers to include storylines involving Miranda and her uncle being “caught in compromising positions or heartbreaking moments of intimacy that could always be easily explained away by a distraught Miranda”.

It was my responsibility to write each of these pitches, to schedule calls to watch demos of The Daddy Saddle [a prop that Miranda would use to ride on her uncle’s back] which would be featured on the show and would score points in the storyline where Colleen thought we could make Uncle Jim even more r***y, Quioh claimed.

Everything felt deeply wrong, she showed us pictures of the crowded rows of smiling children who had attended her show the night before, and in the same breath spent hours trying to find a way to show Miranda and the ‘uncle Jim anything but having real sex on screen.

While I cannot speak to the specific allegations against Colleen Ballinger, I support each of the children and young adults who have courageously shared their experiences over the past few weeks,” Quioh said.

Ballinger’s Netflix show, which debuted in 2016, was canceled after two seasons.

Quioh’s allegations follow other claims made by Ballinger fans.

Allegations were leveled against her by fellow content creator Adam McIntyre, who claimed in 2020 that Ballinger “groomed” him and used him for content when he was underage.

McIntyre said he first discovered Ballinger as Miranda Sings in 2012 and instantly became a fan of her.

He claimed that in 2016 he and Ballinger started talking on a “more personal level” and became “good friends”.

At that time, McIntyre would have been 13 and Ballinger was already in his thirties.

Following McIntyre’s claims, several others came forward with allegations against Ballinger.

Ballinger then broke his silence on the claims with a bizarre video.

“Even though my team strongly advised me not to say what I wanted to say, I recently realized that they never said I couldn’t sing what I wanted to say,” he said. she declared while strumming her ukulele.

In the 10-minute video, Ballinger is seen singing about a “manipulative station” and a “mob mentality” that favors rumors or facts.

“All aboard the toxic gossip train,” she sings toward the start of the video.

“Running down the trails of misinformation.

Ballinger stops singing several times to deliver an almost verbal response as she acknowledged her “odd” relationship with her fans early in her career.
