Mr. Romanus Ejikeme, father of Mmesoma, who is currently making headlines over allegations that she tampered with her Unified Higher Education Examination, UTME, has reacted to the controversy.

Recall that the Joint Admission and Matriculation Board, JAMB, alleged that the Anambra schoolgirl faked her score of 362.

Although Mmesoma in a viral video on Monday denied the allegation, JAMB in a statement on Tuesday banned her from taking the exam for the next three years, insisting she had tampered with the result.

Speaking on the matter, Romanus told Leadership that his daughter could not have inflated her UTME as JAMB claims.

He alleged that the move was to thwart the N3 million scholarship granted to him by the Innoson company.

He said Mmesoma cannot manipulate his UTME score. I don’t believe what they say. They just want to transfer this scholarship to another person. That’s why they say Mmesoma didn’t make that score.

It was even her friends (Mmesoma) who saw her score on the internet and started calling her before she went to print it. We now have the printout with us.
