Prosecutor Justin Espie told the court that at around 3am on February 26, Wrexham town center police became aware of an argument at the Penny Black bar in Abbott Street.
They arrived to find Roberts yelling and hurling racial slurs at another person.
Laura MacMillan, defending, told the court that her client had acted “out of character” and “states that she is in no way racist”.
She added: “This is an isolated incident, and she now deeply regrets it.
“She was out drinking at night – something she doesn’t usually do.
“[Roberts] has a low alcohol tolerance.”
Ms MacMillan, a mother of three, had assured her defense attorney that the behavior would not be repeated, the court heard.
Nicholas Colbourne, presiding magistrate, told the accused: ‘It was an unsavory incident. People don’t want to walk around the town center and need to witness it.’
The court imposed a fine of 80 and ordered the defendant to pay a victim fine surcharge of 32, as well as 85 costs.
