So, let’s take a look at our fuel situation.
The nation, on average right now, pays $3.57 per gallon for regular gas. I think it’s a very reasonable price. Wouldn’t it be nice to have that kind of price here in Washington, instead of nearly $5 a gallon? This is our price in Lewis and Thurston counties right now.
By next year around this time, at the rate we’re heading, you can expect to pay maybe $6.25 a gallon. Oh, damn it!
Of course, I understand that if you live in Mississippi, fuel costs less. Even California, one of the most populous states, pays less than we do here in Washington.
Reason: You keep voting for more taxes to pay for what you really don’t need. It is mostly in high population areas of the state i.e. King, Snohomish and Pierce counties.
You probably don’t drive or have to drive far. Maybe you take the train, carpool, or use other public transportation. For those in rural counties, where you may have to drive further using your own transportation, it will cost significantly more.
How much more can we take?
Personally, I think this is a Democrat-controlled issue. If you’re a city dweller and think fuel isn’t your concern, so what. But if you happen to live in rural Washington, you’re probably a blue-collar, hard-working GOP member who’s worked your whole life trying to stay above water.
Shame on you and your foolish decisions.
Why do we in Washington state have to pay expensive fuel because of people who probably don’t even need it? !
The time to change our predicament will only cost us more. Give us a break. Stop voting for unnecessary bureaucratic bullshit. I think it’s time to replace all the Fergusons and Inslee’s and all their big government expenses and taxes. Good luck with that. Good day.
