WWE superstar LA Knight is a fan-favorite big star who has been praised for recovering organically. However, Kevin Nash issued some harsh criticism of the star, leading many legends to defend Knight, including AEW’s Ace Steel.

Nash recently slammed Knight’s character, calling him a “scam” of WWE legend Dwayne “The Rock” Johnson. The nWo veteran also claimed that the star was completely unoriginal, which upset many fans.

During his recent appearance on The Wrestling Perspective podcast, Ace Steel responded to criticism from Kevin Nash and defended the rising WWE superstar.

“Yeah, so what, fucking big deal, are they calling him on that? Who’s calling him on that, someone who just has an opinion on that? I mean, the crowds [are] bite on what it is. He is successful; it could be a redesign of anything, but is there really anything that [is] super original and pro [wrestling]like things get recycled all the time?” Steel said.

Ace Steel continues:

“It’s not like he got out of wrestling school yesterday and started doing this gimmick. He did [for] a long fucking time. That’s all I have to say.” [H/T: Fightful]

The WWE Hall of Famer Wasn’t Impressed With Kenny Omega’s Sloppy Tiger Driver, Either

The Cleaner had the much-loved match against Will Ospreay at this year’s AEW x NJPW: Forbidden Door Pay-Per-View. While many praised the fight as a whole, criticism was directed at the finish, which saw Kenny Omega planted on his head by Ospreay.

Kevin Nash was particularly critical of this decision, which led Omega to retaliate. In response to the AEW star’s statement, Nash hilariously called his much-criticised Powerbomb failure on Paul Wight a “tiger bomb”.

“Actually, I didn’t want to say anything because Paul [Wight] told me he would strangle me to death if I talked about it, but it was actually a Tiger Bomb. Now that the cat is out of the bag, I’ll say it: it’s the biggest tiger bomb in the world. So, Kenny, I get it, man, there’s a lot of people that can’t do that move, and in that ring that night it was over 800 pounds and we nailed it perfectly,” said the veteran. [From 01:14 onward]

Anyone else still thinking Kenny Omega vs Will Ospreay from Forbidden Door 2. They put together the best 2 matches of 2023.

The WWE veteran rarely allows others to get under his skin, and Ace Steel’s comments probably won’t phase him either. Despite this, wrestling fans seem to be behind LA Knight, like how the AEW fan base still praises Kenny Omega.
