An extension cord was the source of a fire Monday in the Levittown section of the Township of Bristol.

The fire occurred on Huckleberry Lane near Holly Drive at around 8:45 a.m.

Levittown Fire Company No.2 chief Chris Shortt said crews have arrived to find a fire on the first floor. They entered and quickly put out the flames.

The fire was contained in the living room, Shortt said.

The living room of the insured home suffered fire damage, with smoke damage spread throughout the residence, Fire Marshal Kevin Dippolito said.

Dippolito said no one was home when the fire broke out. Shortt said there were no injuries among the firefighters.

In addition to the Levittown No. 2 Fire Company, Falls Township, Fairless Hills and Goodwill Hose Fire Company, as well as Bristol Township Fire Rescue and Levittown-Fairless Hills Rescue Squad responded to the scene.
