A Baghmara-based businessman alleged that Dhullu Mahto, Baghmara’s BJP deputy, had become a threat to the lives of his entire family.
The owners of a gas pump in the locality of Behrakudar in Baghmara Block Sunil Rai have filed a complaint against the thugs of the MLA, he alleged that the MLA can emanate his whole family for the capture of his business.
The entire Rai family appeared before the media at their Baghmara residence and recounted the subsequent attacks on him by MLA thugs on his instructions. Rai said if the police did not take action against the MLA and its henchmen, he would be imitating himself with the whole family.
Rai gave the names of Mahto’s henchmen to the police threatening him and members of his family.
Police remain a silent extractor despite repeated petitions to senior officers, Rai said.
Police said, however, that they were examining the case and that appropriate action would be taken after investigation.
It should be mentioned that several cases are pending against the MLA, including that of rape, extortion, land grabbing among others. The MP could not be reached because his phone showed a number that was busy several times.
