Gov. Andrew Cuomo said on Monday that the allegations of sexual harassment, misconduct and inappropriate behavior had been “distorted” by the media and he pledged to say so “when the time is right.”

Several women have accused Cuomo of harassment or inappropriate behavior in recent months, and Attorney General Letitia James’s office has hired two outside investigators to investigate the allegations.

“I am going to tell you the truth and the facts about this whole situation which has been, I think, distorted in the press and manipulated, and when the time is right I will tell you the truth and the facts and I am waiting with it. impatience, ”Cuomo said Monday during an announcement at Radio City Music Hall in Manhattan.

The allegations against the governor range from inappropriate remarks about the sex life of former assistants to the wearing of a woman’s face at a wedding and, most serious, an allegation of sexual assault at the Executive Mansion.

Summons to several of the women, including former aide Charlotte Bennett and Manhattan Borough presidential candidate Lindsay Boylan, have been issued by investigators in recent days.

State Assembly Democrats have also launched an impeachment inquiry that includes the harassment allegations.

Cuomo has denied any wrongdoing. He also continued to insist that making a person “uncomfortable” did not reach the level of sexual harassment.

“You make me uncomfortable with some of the questions you ask me,” he said. “This is not sexual harassment. There are other elements that need to be added.”

When asked if he had ever had an “intimate” relationship with a government employee, Cuomo replied, “Intimacy has a number of manifestations.

Laughing inwardly, the governor turned to someone nearby and said, “We have an intimate relationship, don’t you think? Not a sexual relationship.
