CHICAGO (WBBM) – A woman was filmed destroying the front yard of a couples house on the northwest side with a sport utility vehicle and screaming loudly while doing so.
As CBS 2 political investigator Dana Kozlov reported on Monday evening, the man believes his criticism of the local alderman has made him a target.
Broken lawn decorations, flattened plants and tire tracks now cover Peter Czosnykas’ lawn.
It was probably $ 200 there, he said.
It was the day after an SUV vandalism at 3:15 a.m. on Saturday, which was caught on surveillance video.
You will see it, top to bottom and top to bottom, Czosnyka said.
Czosnykas’ carefully installed security camera captured most of the vandalism, but not all. He said the woman behind the wheel of the SUV put an end to what he believed to be his targeted rampage by totaling a white sedan parked just down the street, an act that security footage captured.
She mentioned my name several times, Czosnyka said.
The cameras also picked up on him. We hear the woman say Pete.
Czosnyka is a vocal critic of Ald. James Gardiner (45th). This is relevant because his wife said the same woman in the same SUV with the same license plate passed seven hours earlier with a message.
Yelled at me, you tell your husband to leave the alderman alone! said Noreen Czosnyka.
Noreen Czosnyka: She said the alderman.
Kozlov: And did you understand that?
Noreen Czosnyka: Alderman Gardiner.
It also happened just two days after a Northwest Side surveillance article was posted on social media. It was about Pete Czosnykas’ seemingly blocked attempt to get public records from the city related to a parking permit dispute involving Gardiner we discussed in March.
The Czosnykas filed police reports with Jefferson Park District officers (16th), including the SUV’s license plate number. A few days later, an officer told him that the license plate number was missing from their records.
The conversation we hear in the 16 is they’re trying to cover this up, portray me as Pete the Madman, Pete Czysnoka said. But it’s complicated because of this car.
He meant the sedan that was left in the rampage.
When specifically asked, a spokesperson for the Chicago Police Department would not say if the license plate number is included in the report, and they would only say that the incident is the subject of a investigation. No arrests were made.
Ald. Gardiner did not respond to Kozlov’s call for comment on Monday.
