It was a nice gesture from the Jazz, says Tee Morant, although his wife isn’t coming back to Salt Lake City for the game.

After the racist and vulgar comments of the Ja Morants family by three jazz fans made national headlines, Utah Jazz owner Ryan Smith wanted to make amends.
Smith is therefore providing on-court seating, accommodation and car service to five of Morants’ family and friends for Wednesday’s Game 5 in Salt Lake City, a group that will include his father, Tee. He was the target of the most disturbing heckling after Game 2 in Utah’s Vivint Arena last week. ESPN was the first to report the story.
It was a nice gesture from Jazz, Tee Morant told ESPN. It was unfortunate. There were only a few fans, most of them were great and cheering on our side.
Smith also apologized for the incident, saying the organization was embarrassed by the behavior of the fans, who were banned from the arena indefinitely. Morants’ mother, Jamie, has been the target of some comments; she will not be part of the party of five traveling for Game 5.
She said her anxiety couldn’t take it, Tee Morant said. He [cited] the stress created by the harassment during Game 2, ESPN reported.
