Emilia Clarke reveals who was to blame for Game of Thrones coffee cup error

British actress Emilia Clarke addressed the infamous Coffee Cup Mistake that aired in the final season of Game of Thrones.

The Last Christmas actor, 34, during an appearance on Texting With digital series, singled out showrunner and HBO series co-creator DB Weiss as the culprit of the headline-grabbing snafu and left the fans in crisis.

The goof appeared in the conversation when Clarke was asked about her favorite morning drink.

“This isn’t a Starbucks spoiler. I’ll say it again for the record: it wasn’t mine. Looking at you, Dan Weiss,” she said.

During the show’s final season, which aired in May 2019, a modern disposable coffee mug was spotted right in front of Daenerys’ character of Clarkes.

After the chaos that unleashed after the error was aired, Weiss and his production partner David Benioff addressed the debacle and called it a fun incident.

“We were so focused on Daenerys and Jon Snow that we just didn’t see that cup of coffee right in the middle,” Benioff said in a conversation with Star Channel in Japan.

“So at first I couldn’t believe it, then it was embarrassing because, ‘How didn’t we see that cup of coffee in the middle of the shot?’ And then, finally, it was just funny. This one is just a mistake, and it’s kinda funny for us now, “he added.
